Reliant Medical Group is seeking an Interface Analyst to join our exciting and innovative organization!
Position: Full time 40 hours per week
Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM
Occasional Weekends, Occasional Holidays
Responsible for HL7 interface development with Web services as well as in Web based development. Accountable for interface development, implementation, analysis, modification, testing, and support from pre implementation through post go-live activities. Reviews, analyzes and evaluates business systems and user needs, documents detailed interface specifications, identifies and records translation table values, conducts testing with the field, and supports interface and integration change requests. May also be required to review and analyzes the effectiveness of current systems and procedures, and architect or play an important contribution in the architecture development of the organization's interface and information exchange platform.
Works on interface development with Web services and Web based development.
Works on interface development implementation, analysis, modification, testing, and support from pre implementation through post go-live activities.
Consults with customers, analysts, and vendors to identify current operating procedures and interface specifications to determine interface requirements which align with project scopes and objectives to quickly and successfully meet the customer's needs.
Understands interface transactions and recommends interface solutions to improve integration and/or workflow processes.
Develops and implements accurate integration specifications and standards enterprise wide.
Creates accurate status reports, project plans, minutes, issue logs and any information pertinent to the interface project assignment and ensures projects are completed with high quality in accordance with established schedules.
Participates in testing and issue resolution of new interfaces, new applications, and upgrades to existing interfaces or applications.
Provides effective monitoring and troubleshooting of complex issues for all operational interfaces.
Maintains high level of technical competence in areas of responsibility. Designs and executes integration plans interacting with application analysts, vendors, management and other departments during configuration and testing processes.
Ensures all integration connections meet patient safety and security standards.
Creates shared documentation for issues and resolutions to improve team productivity.
Creates, maintains, and executes procedures for business continuity in disaster recovery and outage scenarios.
Acts as a liaison between end users, vendor support, IT, or other necessary parties.
Works with business community to analyzes needs of the users for information. Designs and writes straightforward application programs to handle user needs. May diagnose and solve moderately complex problems. Conducts detailed analysis of defined system applications. Investigate, document, and translate the preferred choices of users.
Schedules installation of new hardware and software to minimize the impact on operations. Analyzes data conversions and software documentation for system migrations and upgrades.
Designs, codes, tests and debugs simple programs. Assists higher level programmer/analysts with programming tasks and design work. Helps provide solutions so that technical logic meets the needs of the user.
Performs functions with the appropriate caution on Production machines whether at menu level or programmer access level.
Understands the necessary Change Management processes to include maintaining and properly updating all testing and training environments.
Assists in establishing protocols to ensure that the system is operational during prime working hours.
Makes recommendations to higher level programmer/analysts concerning ways to maximize useful life of current system.
Properly documents and applies comments within programming for easy understanding of program functions and changes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Attends a variety of meetings, conferences, and seminars as required or directed.
Complies with health and safety requirements and with regulatory agencies such as DPH, etc.
Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.

Regular, reliable and predicable attendance is required.
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent education, training or experience) in computer science. Skills and experience typically acquired through three to five years of programming experience. Good understanding of current information system or similar installations. Understanding of basic systems analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation standards, file design, storage and internal systems. Able to work with both technical and non-technical personnel. Provides excellent customer service, finding creative ways to avoid saying “no” by compromising with and educating users. Demonstrates a commitment to quality and a thorough approach to the work. Manage multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently. Meets all deadlines. Maintain strictest confidentiality.
Must possess excellent skills in data mapping and data translations, system integrations and data integrity, compatibility, and standardization. Excellent knowledge of data processing, databases, systems analysis, systems development, software implementation, application development, software support, and solution architecture. HL7 Interface Engine knowledge and experience. Must be very well versed with all the HL7 segments. Hospital Information Systems: Epic, Meditech, Cerner, McKesson, GE, etc. Development experience with web services and the .NET platform – three or more years preferred. .NET and HL7/Connect working knowledge is desirable. SQL Server (Database, TSQL and SSIS). Experience in MS VB and other scripting languages. Current Microsoft Technologies and Development Platforms, including Team Systems. Experience in Development of Web Based solutions with Microsoft C#, WCF and Entity Data is desirable. FHIR experience a plus.
