  • Overview

    Reliant Medical Group is seeking a Full Time Senior Financial Anaylst to join our exciting and innovative organization!

     

    Position: Full time 40 hours per week

    Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30AM- 5:00PM 

    No Weekends, No Holidays 

     

    Under minimum supervision, performs accounting and related financial analytics, including revenue recognition (capitation and fee for service) and claim expense calculation, journal entry preparation, account review and reconciliation, as well as special projects.  Assists in monthly general ledger close process and financial statement preparation, ensuring accurate results are delivered on time in accordance with GAAP.  Develops and maintains internal controls to ensure quality and accuracy of all financial reporting and data.

    1. Consistently meets deadlines.
    2. Periodic reviews are made during assignments to anticipate, as far as possible, delays or potential difficulties.
    3. Data is effectively collected and organized so as to assure efficiency.
    4. Formulates work plan according to current priorities.

    Job Knowledge

    1. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles as related to position.
    2. Assist in the calculation of medical expense (hospital and professional) IBNR models based on payer paid and pended claim files, high cost cases and other.
    3. Reviews and analyzes variety of GL accounts (includes balance sheet, revenue and expense) accurately and in a timely manner. Research discrepancies, resolve problems independently.
    4. Reconciles and analyzes financial, operational, and statistical data to multiple standard sources to ensure accuracy and integrity at all times.
    5. Able to identify significant data ‘outliers’ and pursue explanation or validation of those outliers.
    6. Ability to clearly and concisely summarize financial data into appropriate format(s).
    7. Improves financial operations by analyzing results; monitoring variances; analyze and identify trends and recommend actions to management.
    8. Ability to resolve problems in absence of direct supervision.
    9. Possesses computer (and other business applications) skills necessary to complete assignments in a professional fashion. Ability to adapt to various computer applications.
    10. Participates in redesign of current processes in order to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of system.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.  A CPA or Master’s degree in Business Administration is desirable.  Six or more years of financial experience with analytically challenging projects.  Direct and demonstrated expertise with the following categories:  Healthcare or Insurance Accounting/Finance, Reporting/Variance Analysis, General Ledger/Accounting, Financial Analyses, knowledge of financial modeling, knowledge of audit and reconciliation methodologies, advanced understanding of Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow components of financial statements. Advanced project management and organizational skills. Excellent computer skills with a variety of software products such as Microsoft Office. Excellent organizational interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Ability to multi-task.
