Position: Full time 38.75 hours per week
Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30AM- 5:00PM

Performs a variety of duties for the registration of new patients. Addresses all inquiries from potential new patients via various channels. Enters demographics, insurance and other related information. Completes MyChart Activations when appropriate. Support site staff with registering new patients. Provides outstanding Customer Service.
Answers all inquiries within the department established guidelines.
Provides Outstanding Customer Service.
Assists new patients with choosing a Primary Care Physicians (PCP) following standard procedures.
Works unassigned members list from payors to assign PCPs.
Notifies payors of PCP changes as required.
Responds to patient clinical inquiries as required following standard procedure.
Verifies insurance plan eligibility and PCP assignment for all inquiries received via various channels.
Creates and updates all new patient records including patient demographics, guarantor demographics, insurance/subscriber demographics, PCP, email address, last four digits of social security number and other relevant information within Epic to ensure all information is complete, accurate and active.
Acts as liaison to staff within the organization for new patient inquiries and for new patients that present themselves to the site (in person or on phone).
Maintains knowledge of company-wide providers with open panels, including their gender, location, years of service etc., of each provider by utilizing provider informational documentation lists on Sharepoint or other means as a reference.
Researches and resolves new patient complex registration and eligibility issues.
Books a variety of patient appointment such as new patient physical, new patient visits, etc., using the Epic scheduling system from inquiries coming in via various channels.
Generates initial welcome mailing and send to new patients.
Promotes organization’s online portal, (MyChart), send activation code when applicable.
Updates appointment notes for self-pay services as a means to communicate with the supported departments of patient’s awareness of financial responsibility.
Acts as liaison with payors on open/closed panels.
Updates panel report Spreadsheet monthly to better understand the percentage of appropriate slots being held for new patients in provider’s schedules and then send to Admin Supervisors so they can adjust their schedules accordingly.
Maintains open/closed panel Sharepoint site.
Identifies and communicates ideas for process and/or flow improvements to Management.
Complies with health and safety requirements.
Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
Enhances professional growth and development through educational programs, seminars, etc.
Attends a variety of meetings, conferences, and seminars as required or directed.
Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.
Regular, reliable and predicable attendance is required.
High school diploma and three (3) to five (5) years’ relevant expereince. Insurance registration experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of computer and software products (ie Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, etc). Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Excellent customer service and data entry skills.
