Reliant Medical Group is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our excited and innovative organization! 

 

Position: Full Time 40 hours per week 

Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM 

Occasional Weekends, Occasional Holidays 

 

 

Coordinate communications between software vendors and end users to resolve technical issues.  Document and assess IT System Configurations as they relate to System Applications.  Perform regularly required maintenance of system applications.  Create system documentation.  Install and configure selected software and hardware.  Assess Vendor proposals.  Monitor long term system performance.  Perform Duties with limited supervision.  Lead projects and staff as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

  • Daily administration of system applications, as assigned.
  • Perform daily (routine) system maintenance.
  • Provide timely and accurate support.
  • Participate in documenting support procedures.
  • Trouble-shoot and resolve systems or user performance issues.
  • Escalate issues as needed.
  • Request assistance from other IT Departments as needed
  • Assist other IT departments as requested.
  • Participate in the analysis of vendor Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
  • Recommend changes and improvements to the infrastructure.
  • Identify and communicate deficiencies.
  • Perform Technical Assessments of vendor Proposals.
  • Gather and compile information from vendors, business owners, and / or other IT staff, as
  • assigned.
  • Compare and Contrast technological requirements, costs, and deficiencies.
  • Offer recommendations based on information gathered.
  • Perform System Assessments of existing systems.
  • Identify Performance Trends.
  • Make appropriate recommendations to ensure acceptable performance.
  • Follow Established policies, procedures, and documentation guidelines.
  • Develop implementation schedules.
  • Assess, coordinate and/or implement system installations or upgrades.
  • Assess the need for the upgrade and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Coordinate upgrade schedule with the Vendor, IT departments and business users.
  • Follow Established policies, procedures, and documentation guidelines.
  • Request any required personnel for hardware related changes and upgrades.
  • Regular, reliable and predicable attendance is required.

Qualifications

 

 

College degree, preferably a B.S., B.A., or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline. Advanced vendor training in computer system software and related hardware components. Certification or equivalent in other system technologies recommended.

 

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Minimum 3-6 years experience supporting related industry operating systems (Microsoft, Linux and Unix) and all major server hardware platforms.

Understanding of Computer Infrastructure Architecture.

Extensive knowledge of Vmware/Hyper-V technologies.

Understanding of Microsoft technologies and methodologies.

Understanding of Citrix technologies.

Understanding of web-based and client/server application concepts and underlying concepts.

Good working knowledge of network protocols including tcp/ip, dns, dhcp, wins, etc.

Microsoft/Vmware Certifications are preferred.
