Overview

Reliant Medical Group is seeking a DME Billing Specialist to join our excited and innovative organization!

 

Position: Full time 38.75 hours per week

Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM

No Weekends, No Holidays 

 

 

Responsible for the analysis and submission of third party insurance claims, accounts receivable management and collection of receivables billed by Lakeview Medical. Ensures billing information is accurate, appropriate, and has been received. Reviews pre-edit report to ensure information is complete and accurate. Generates and sends monthly private pay patient statements. Receives phone calls regarding billing, resolves patient issues regarding billing. Works with Eligibility of Benefits (EOB) and posts all payments, deductibles, etc., and other related duties.

Responsibilities

Mails patient statements, letters and insurance claims and other documents as requested.

Receives and analyzes denials, identifies trends, and works with third party insurers and others to resolve issues.

 

Receives, verifies, and reconciles batches from the bank. Creates credit card and cash deposits following standard procedures.  Submits to Revenue Operations.

 

Complies with health and safety requirements and with regulatory agencies such as Community Health Accreditation, Department of Transportation, Federal Drug Administration, etc.

 

Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.

 

Enhances professional growth and development through educational programs, seminars, etc.

 

Attends a variety of meetings, conferences, and seminars as required or directed.

 

Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.

Qualifications

High School diploma and one to three years’ relevant experience. Demonstrated knowledge of ICD-9 and HCPCS coding. In-depth knowledge of third party payer requirements. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of a variety of software products including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

 

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description, may be substituted for the above requirements.
