Reliant Medical Group is seeking a Behavioral Medicine Manager to join our excited and innovative organization!

 

Full Time: 40

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:30PM

 

Practice Manager to oversee Southborough and Worcester behavioral medicine home sties, staff, and the BMED program

Responsibilities

Ensures the highest level of patient satisfaction. Responds to patient concerns as required.  Monitors and addresses patient complaints.  Works with physician, staff and others to address and prevent problems.  Develops a variety of customer services standards and programs.

 

Implements systems and organization-wide efforts to integrate services. Creates an environment that nurtures empowerment of all staff members.  Encourages the development of self-directed work teams.  Pursues and encourages continuous service and clinical quality management and innovation.  Develops, leads and coordinates a variety of quality improvement projects.  Ensures corrective action is taken as necessary.

 

Participates in the hiring, orientation and review process of advanced practitioners at the site.

 

Manages the physician practices in collaboration with the Site Chief. Ensures support staff coverage to meet patient satisfaction and implementation of access standards.

 

Provides staff and department members with regular feedback about utilization. Develops and implements programs to reduce waste, and to improve effective use of clinical resources.

 

Collaborates with site management group on common issues such as shared space, personnel, etc.

 

Monitors patient access to care, and works with staff to deploy available resources to meet demand. Assists in the development, creation and implementation of site access standards.

 

Leads and performs analytical studies of existing or proposed services and activities to provide the economic basis for management decisions to improve operational/financial performance and to realize productivity improvements. Communicates outcomes verbally or by written report as required or directed.

 

Develops, maintains and reports key metrics that identify key drivers of business performance of the practice and point to areas of action if there are discrepancies.

 

Summarizes complex business information into easy to understand and read formats.

 

Develops, advocates, implements and measures the results of a variety of business plans. Makes decisions based on business plans as required or directed.

 

Implements local programs that enhance business outcomes of the practice. Measures the impact of programs to include marketing, community relations and involvement, employer group outreach, partnering with local providers, etc.

 

Identifies trends and appraises causes and effects and highlights opportunities to improve performance. Gathers, selects, and utilizes information on appropriate industry operational benchmarks to establish the most appropriate standards and reporting methodology to foster on-going improvements in operating efficiency/process improvement.

 

Ensures cash handling and operational business practices and procedures are followed including cash collections, cash out, reconciliations and other requirements of the business office, accounting departments, etc.

 

Ensures compliance with Operations Manual.

 

Manages telephone flow and access. Matches call volumes and staffing to meet the expectations of patients/customers.

Prepares annual goals and objectives in support of the organization’s strategic initiatives, and reports on progress as required. 

 

Build new BMED program

 

Matrix reporting to Ops Director and VP of OPH

 

Manage DSRIP funding

 

Partner with cross functional teams' PCP, leadership, case management, specialties, surgery, bariatric program, Fallon Health (Fallon 365)

 

Develop and maintain BMED budget 

 

Develop measurement of BMED program success

 

Report up to Exec. Leadership as to progress of program

 

Plan and support relocation to new home site for the department

 

Qualifications

5 years BMED Management

BA/BS in Business Administration, Finance Healthcare or related field and three to five years of managerial responsibility. Demonstrated leadership, financial, and management skills.  Proven experience in coordinating and management of office practice, treatment services, data collection analysis, physician billing and collections process, terminology and reimbursement.  Demonstrated business and financial planning skills such as budgeting, staffing ratios, variance analysis, corrective action plans, cost benefit analysis, net present value, and capital vs. operating expense, ROI, healthcare billing and collections.  Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.  Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities.  Knowledge of a variety of software products/systems such as Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Power Point, EPIC, DMS, SRC Budget, etc.
