Reliant Medical Group is seeking a Medicare Education Specialist to join our exciting and innovative organization!


Part Time: 20 hours (This position has the potential to go full time eventually)

Hours: 9:00AM - 1:00PM (Hours may vary each day)


Possesses a broad working knowledge of Medicare plans and is responsible for acting as the in-house resource for our patients who need objective education about the complexities of choosing and enrolling in a Medicare plan.  Acts as a resource to providers, operations staff, case managers and others who receive questions from patients about Medicare and other related duties.


  • Discusses all options and guides patient on how to enroll and learn more about Medicare/benefits, etc.  Identifies and connects patients to appropriate resources.  Effectively utilizes resources, websites and other resources to assist patients and others.  
  • Confers with agencies and organizations to gain clarity or obtain further details about resources that will help patients. 
  • Utilizes knowledge and experience of living and working the community to contribute to continuous improvement of the resources. 
  • Acts as a resource to patients and staff regarding Medicare questions. 
  • Conducts face-to-face and telephone consultations.  Travels to various sites for appointments. 
  • Plans, coordinates, develops, and implements educational programs for patients, staff and providers regarding Medicare.  Provides additional resources for patients to contact.  
  • Serves as the liaison for Medicare by providing staff and others with continuing education opportunities. Provides guidance to clinical staff. 
  • Collaborates with organizational leadership to create goals and objectives for Medicare educational opportunities.  Ensures goals align with organizational strategic plans. 
  • Complies with health and safety requirements and with regulatory agencies such as DPH, etc. 
  • Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives. 
  • Enhances professional growth and development through educational programs, seminars, etc.  
  • Attends a variety of meetings, conferences, and seminars as required or directed. 
  • Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed. 
  • Regular, reliable and predicable attendance is required.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field and one to three years’ relevant experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Medicare plans/benefits. 
  • Ability to develop and deliver training sessions.
  • This position is currently PT but has potential to develop into FT role
  • Excellent communication, organizational, presentation and interpersonal skills. 
  • Knowledge of a variety of software tools such as Microsoft Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
