Reliant Medical Group is seeking a New Patient Registration/Switchboard Manager to join our exciting and innovative organization!


Position: Full time 40 hours per week 

Hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM (Hours vary, flexibility needed) 


Performs a variety of duties involving the supervision, direction and coordination of assigned personnel and activities. Ensures the efficient day-to-day operation of assigned support functions including switchboard, call center and related duties.


  • Provides leadership, organizational structure and management expertise for long-range planning as well as the day-to-day operations of switchboard and call center.
  • Manages the Switchboard and the New Patient Registration, provides telephone reports and systems assistance through the organization.
  • Develops weekly/monthly reports including payroll, exam volume, budget analysis, quality assurance, phone traffic, new patient data etc.
  • Distributes and budgets for all organization pagers.
  • Trains and provides support for department administrators or others on the on-call software as required or directed.
  • Maintains and updates the organization’s directory, on-call data, protocols and departmental policy manual as required.
  • Ensures switchboard and New Patient Registration computer software capabilities are utilized efficiently and effectively. Ensures changes are implemented as appropriate.
  • Performs a variety of special projects that we will enhance the telephone and new patient experience throughout organization such as investigating improvement in telephone technology and services, etc., within position responsibility.
  • Maintains or improves patient, staff and employee satisfaction.
  • Directs and supervises assigned personnel including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training. Makes recommendations on employee hire, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and other similar actions. Resolves grievances and other personnel problems within position responsibilities.
  • Develops and recommends the operating and capital budgets for the areas managed. Manages activities to assure financial goals met. Monitors expenditures for compliance to approved budget. Resolves discrepancies.
  • Coordinates the assignment of tasks and helps resolve technical and operational problems. Evaluates the impact of solutions to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Provides effective direction, guidance, and leadership over the staff for effective teamwork and motivation, and fosters the effective integration of efforts with clinic-wide initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies such as DPH, etc. Develops and maintains procedures necessary to meet regulatory requirement.
  • Ensures that assigned area comply with clinic established policies, quality assurance programs, safety, and infection control policies and procedures.
  • Ensures adequate equipment and supplies for assigned area.
  • Develops and maintains established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
  • Ensures compliance to all health and safety regulations and requirements.
  • Communicates and interfaces with providers, staff, patients, family members and others to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Corrects unsatisfactory conditions that may arise or notifies manager or others of any discrepancies.
  • Performs cross-functional duties as necessary/assigned.
  • Serves as a role model for other staff members. Displays behaviors and attitudes consistent with ensuring the ideal patient experience.
  • Performs similar or related duties as required or directed.
  • Regular, reliable and predicable attendance is required.


Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field and one to three year’s relevant management experience.  Demonstrated knowledge of variety software products such as AMION, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.  Knowledge of telecom design and scripting for operational departments.  Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
