  • Provides direct clinical services to patients and families in the form of psychosocial assessments, individual, family, and group treatment
  • Evaluates and treats patients in a number of clinical areas. Applies clinical interventions as appropriate for patients with various physical and psychological conditions
  • Provides clinical consultation to providers and interdisciplinary team members to assist with crisis intervention
  • Facilitates appropriate patient referrals for chronic substance abuse, chronic mental health services, complex care management and other appropriate community resources
  • Obtains and coordinates communication with collateral contacts including school personnel, community based behavioral health providers, and/or state agency caseworkers, to coordinate behavioral health care needs defined by Primary Care Providers
  • Maintains documentation within the standards of the organization 
  • Establishes and maintains effective collegial relationships with physicians and other professionals
  • Works effectively, supports and promotes integrated, team based care in pediatric primary care office setting
  • Serves as patient advocate both within the organization and in the community
  • Participates in extended care team interdisciplinary processes
  • Participates in clinical supervision sessions as needed with the Director. Provides clinical supervision to students as agreed upon with the Department Director
  • Provides and participates in in-service education as indicated  
  • Participates in professional organizations, workshops, and conferences as they pertain to clinical and administrative functions
  • Keeps abreast of current clinical literature related to clinical social work and evidence based practices for treatment of pediatric population
  • Enhances professional growth and development through educational programs, seminars, etc.


  • Minimum 3 years experiences in a community mental health environment
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive clinical experience with children and families
  • Experience in medical setting preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited school of social work
  • Master’s Degree and active, unrestricted licensure as an LICSW in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required
  • CANS Assessor certification- preferred
  • Current Massachusetts driver’s license
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, with a flexible and creative approach to problem solving 
  • Proficient in computer and EMR use, the Internet and health information technology
  • Successfully able to work independently as well as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Possesses good clinical judgment and decision making skills
